The Richmond Neighborhood Coalition (RNC) is an intergenerational, multi-ethnic community-building group, open to all, and committed to "recreating the village".

Working with the theme "Recreating the Village" RNC collaborates with schools, interfaith and senior groups, as well as community based service organizations to provide programs and activities that bring generations and cultures together to build a better Richmond District.

RNC began in 1991 as a grassroots community organizing effort of a citywide policy body--Neighborhoods In Transition: A Multi-cultural Partnership (NIT-AMP). In 1996, NIT-AMP began receiving funds from the San Francisco Mayor's Criminal Justice Council. NIT-AMP is currently empowering coalitions in 7 police districts through the
Safety Network Program. Richmond Area Multi-Services (RAMS) is the host agency for NIT-AMP in the Richmond District.
